Are bridge and tunnel tolls included in the delivery fee?
Yes, all toll charges are included in the delivery fee.
Can I buy parts from your parts department if I have never rented/bought equipment from you before?
Yes, you can order parts without being an existing customer. We house parts for most major manufacturers. Same applies for maintenance and repairs through our service department.
Can I pick up my rental at your store?
Yes, we offer customer pickups at all of our locations. Make sure you ask about our low delivery rates.
Do I need a drivers license to rent equipment?
In order to rent equipment, you will need a valid picture ID as well as a major credit card in your name.
Do I need to be on-site to sign for my delivery?
Equipment can be delivered or picked up to locations where there renter is not available for signature. We will leave the equipment in a place deemed acceptable by the renter and put a key, if any, in a hidden place on the equipment.
Do you charge sales tax?
Yes. Sales tax is charged on all rental and retail transactions. Sales tax is charged in accordance with the local tax laws. You may be exempt from sales tax if your business has a resale certificate or you are a government entity, non-profit, farm-owner, film production studio, or exporter.
Do you deliver after normal business hours or on weekends?
Yes, we deliver 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Deliveries made after normal business hours are subject to higher delivery rates.
Do you guarantee an exact delivery time?
We offer the customer a 2 hour delivery window, ie. 11am to 1pm. We try our hardest to get the equipment delivered as close to the requested time as possible and have an above-average on-time delivery record. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, acts of God, strikes, breakdowns, or conditions beyond our control.
Do you have any representatives that can assist in other languages?
Yes, we have a diverse workforce that can assist with many different languages such as Spanish, Croatian, Chinese Mandarin and more. Just ask one of our friendly phone representatives.
Do you offer an automatic equipment pickup option after I am done with my rental?
No, in order to have your rental equipment picked up, you need to call and speak to a rental coordinator who will coordinate the pickup for you and schedule a truck to come to your location. You can also use our online form to call off equipment.
Do you offer equipment safety training?
Our Safety Training Program currently offers Aerial Lift Training (2-3 hour OSHA/ANSI compliant certifications for scissor lifts, aerial work platforms, and boom lifts.) Forklift Training (2-3 hour OSHA compliant certifications for forklifts and pallet jacks). Telehandler Training (5-6 hour OSHA compliant certifications for rough terrain forklifts, Lulls, telehandlers, rotating telehandlers, and additional Class 7 equipment). Do you offer mobile fueling services?
At this time, we do not offer mobile fueling services.
Do you offer new/used equipment financing?
We do not offer in-house financing but do work with various financial institutions for new and used equipment financing. If qualified, approval usually takes 24 hours or less.
Do you offer on the road assistance?
Yes. Rate is $180/hr with a 2-hour minimum.
Do you offer roadside assistance for machine repairs?
Yes. Durante Rentals has several on-the-road service vehicles. Please call our service department at 718-697-6969 ext. 4666.
Does Durante Rentals have a catalog?

Does Durante Rentals provide equipment operators for hire?
Unfortunately, Durante Rentals does not provide equipment operators for hire.
How far do you deliver?
We deliver just about anywhere within Metro NY, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
How long can I keep my rental?
You can keep your rental equipment for as long as you need it. We rent by the day, week, month or even longer. Generally the longer your rental, the less expensive.
How long has Durante Rentals been in business?
Durante Rentals has been in business since September of 2009.
How many hours a day can I use my equipment rental?
The daily, weekly, and monthly rate quoted, unless otherwise noted, will be based on maximum usage of eight (8) hours per day; forty (40) hours per week; or one hundred sixty (160) hours per month. All use in excess thereof, and all transportation, fuel, theft, EPP, damage charges and related charges shall be paid by the renter in addition to initial charges. Monthly rentals are calculated as 4 weeks or 28 days.
How much do you charge for delivery?
Delivery starts at $139 each way. Delivery rates will depend on the quantity of items being delivered, distance, and vehicle required to make the delivery, ie. flatbed, van, trailer, etc.

Is fuel included with my rental?
Yes, your rental comes with a full tank of fuel. It is the responsibility of the customer to return the rental with a full tank of fuel. Rentals returned with less than a full tank of fuel will be charged the rate of $9.49 per gallon.
What are your business hours?
All branches are open Monday through Friday from 7am to 5pm. We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, certified bank checks, Paypal and direct wire transfers. We no longer accept cash.
What happens if the rental equipment is damaged or broken?
We offer an Equipment Protection Plan (EPP) with each rental. For 15% of the cost of the rental, the mandatory EPP fee covers accidental damage encountered during the ordinary use of our equipment. Note that standard “wear and tear” is covered by Durante Rentals. If your machine breaks down during operation, we will either send a technician to your location to fix your issue or we will deliver a replacement unit.
* EPP does not cover theft, disappearance, damage due to overloading or exceeding rated capacities, nonstandard use, overturning, tire damage, transportation or operating without recommended coolants, lubrications, fluids, air pressure level, supports and/or safety equipment, improper use, misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents or internal damage. All equipment is inspected upon return and renters will be responsible for any damage not covered under EPP.
What if my machine develops mechanical issues?
