With the weather getting colder by the day here on the east coast, heater season should be upon us before you know it. With an unlimited number of choices, buying or renting a portable industrial heater can be confusing as well as time-consuming.
We’ve put together this portable heater buying guide to help educate you on the different types of portable heaters available to help with your decision making.
Radiant heaters transfer heat from an emitting heat source to an object, similar to how the sun heats. They warm people and other things in rooms rather than directly heating the air.
Infrared heaters use electromagnetic radiation to warm by transferring energy from a source with a higher temperature to a lower temperature source. No contact between the two sources is necessary for heat transfer.
Forced Air Heaters
Forced Air heaters are the most common type of portable heaters. They use air as the heat transfer medium. These units are incredibly cost-efficient.
Electric Space Heaters
Electric Space heaters are heaters that come in a self-contained device for heating an enclosed area. They are usually 120V, so they can easily plug into any wall outlet.
